Staff PIN Login
Staff PIN Login lets housekeeping staff sign in using a shared tablet or device — no personal email address or password required. It is designed for properties where cleaning staff share a single device at the start of each shift.
PIN login is available on the Boutique and Grand Hotel plans only.
How it works
- An Owner or Admin creates a PIN staff member: Users → Invite Staff → Username & PIN
- Enter the staff member's name, a unique username, a 4–6 digit PIN, and their role (Keeper or Maintenance)
- The staff member opens the Tourmir app or web page and taps Sign in with PIN
- They enter the Hotel Code → their Username → their PIN
- They are logged in and land on the Dashboard for their role
Hotel Code
The Hotel Code is a 6-character alphanumeric code unique to your property. All PIN-login staff need this code — it is the first step of their login flow.
Find your Hotel Code in Organization Settings → Staff Hotel Code. Share it with your team and post it where staff can see it (e.g. the break room or the shared tablet). The Hotel Code is read-only — contact Tourmir support if you need it changed.
PIN requirements
- 4–6 numeric digits only
- Each PIN must be unique within the workspace
- Staff cannot change their own PIN — only Owners and Admins can update it
Changing a PIN or username
Go to Users → find the PIN staff member → Edit → Change PIN / Username. Enter the new username or PIN and save. The change takes effect immediately — the staff member will need to use the new credentials on their next login.
Limitations
- PIN login staff cannot reset their own credentials — there is no email on file for a password reset flow
- Only Keeper and Maintenance roles are available for PIN login (not Admin)
- PIN login staff cannot manage their own account settings within the app
Security considerations
Because PIN login is designed for shared devices, consider the following best practices:
- Use a device with a screen lock so the app is not accessible when left unattended
- Rotate PINs periodically or immediately when staff leave the property
- Log out of the app when the shared device is not in active use
Install the Tourmir Android app on a shared tablet and keep it at a central location (e.g. the housekeeping station). Each Keeper logs in with their unique PIN at the start of their section and logs out when done. This keeps sessions clean and history accurate.
